The speaker was a small little boy who was talking to his father.

• The father gave him life-changing advice about being rich. He told the little boy that being rich is not just about money but a lot more. He told him that the world is a very cruel place and if you do an act of kindness or you have kindness within yourself you are rich.  
• He also told him that happiness is a state of mind and if you are happy with your own self you are really really rich.
