I was asked a question that a Proton is an ionised hydrogen atom. i was sure that it is correct in case of H+ but hydrogen also forms H- ion .... so i have doubt that the statement is true or not... please help me .....no spamming

statement is true on the basis of experimental bases as hydrogen formed both ion but having different characteristics. H+ having only 1 proton 1 neutron & no electron working as single proton while H- shows some properties of helium which is inert(everyone knows) so, both ion are theoretically & practically possible.
