Increasing the temperature above the boiling point, 212°F(100°C) , causes water to change from liquid to gas(water vapour). The melting/freezing point changes with pressure. The boiling point of water varies with atmospheric pressure. At lower pressure or higher altitude, the boiling point is lower.
