because work of canines is to tear the food. there is no need of canines to tear food for herbivores animals..
cellulose isn't digested in humans because the digestive system of the animals is longer then the humans...
human digestive system isn't actually capable of digesting cellulose. it doesn't contain the liquids or acids or digestive juices etc that animals have for digesting cellulose.
vitamins are importance for every animal because they have effect on body's main parts like vitamin d is for bones. if the animals will not have they will not have stronger bones. and without moving they will not survive

i) bcz they r designed to eat grass with theirmolar and premolar teeths.
ii) food stuffs which contain a balanced amount of all carbohydrates, fats, proteins etc. yields the maximum amount of energy on complete combustion.
iii) cellulose is not digested in humans as they cannot be easily broken down and in cow this process is possible.
iv) dietary fibers r composed of nonstarch carbohydrate and lignin.
v) vitamins r important for animals even they do not produce energy bcz deficiency of vitamin lead to cause many diseases in animals as well as human beings.
