to find length of diagonals;

join OQ and PR

DIAGONALS ARE  PERPENDICULAR BISECTORS

Let intesection point of diagonals be T

PT = TR  and QT = TO

OQ = 8  as it is radius

so QT = TO = 4

OP =OR = 8 --radius

BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

TP = TR =√8×8-4×4=4√3 - PR = 8√3

Area of unshaded region =π ×64 - 1/2 × 8√3×8

                                           = 1,408/7 -1/2×64√3

                                          =201.142 - 55.424

                                         =45.718
