let's do it

take lcm of denominators of lhs

x^2-a(a+b)/ax=b(a+b)/ax

Now....

ax to ax cancel....

x^2-a^2-ab=ab+b^2

x^2=a^2+b^2+ab+ab

x^2=a^2+b^2+2ab

x^2=[+/-(a+b)]^2

x=a+b OR-(a+b)..
