Xylem contains dead cell and are present in the outer syrface and vice versa to phloem

13ssuri: What do you mean by the outer surface x
HimanshuSingh11111: just mention in your ans its one of the diff u will get marks and also mention about dead and living cell

Xylem tissues of root stem and leaves are interconnected and form a water conducting channel.
Roots continually takes up ions from the soil this creates concemr gradient. To eliminate the difference water moves in to roots. And the suction produce by transpiration in leaves pulls up water in leaves.

The transport of food by photosynthesis is called translocation.
This is done with the help of phloem which is bidirectional and in it ATP is involved.
