The present piece of poetry "Ice-cream Man" has been written by Rachel Field which is very nice piece of poetry. The poet underline the summer season to sell out the ice-cream very much. In this poem the poet autobiography the ice-cream vendor and the variety of ice-cream. The poet also describe the flavour and taste of the ice-cream. In the summer season the children like most to the ice-cream. The poet stated that the shape of the ice-cream is cone.

The ice-cream flavours are Vanilla, Chocholate, strawberry pista badam, pista keshar etc. does likes the childrens. Ice cream has various colours such as brown, green, orange, white and pink. In the last stanza of the poem the poet underline the cart of ice-cream and bunch of the childrens whose cluster round the cart looks like cluster of honeybees.

The poem describes a hot summer day scene of the city. In the summer days, everybody gets tired of the heat and the sun blazes extremely. Meanwhile, the Ice-cream man comes down the streets with his cart. The ice-cream man becomes a means of joy and happiness for everyone. He has different flavours of ice creams in his cart. He has chilled frosty-fizz to drink too. Children flock round the cart and ask for their flavour of ice cream or chilled drink. The poet has compared the ice cream cart with a bed of roses and sweet peas, where the children gather as honey bees cluster around the flowers to get nectar. This is how the ice cream man spreads joy and happiness everywhere in the summers.
