Whenever there is a chapter completed in school in any of the subjects remember that you too finish that chapter at home within a week so that you do not forget the words of the teacher. In this way you can clear your doubts on time and understand each and every chapter perfectly.

Try to be attentive in class when the chapter is being taught. Being attentive in class helps during self study and your work is completed without any difficulty.

After completion of every 3 to 4 chapters keep on revising the 1st 2nd chapters because you may have forgotten them. Regular revision makes you thorough in the topics.

After the completion of entire syllabus of STD 10 in school prepare your timetable on daily basis for your preparations for boards and strictly follow that. This is the most important time for the final preparations for boards. Try to make a time table which you can manage to follow.

After completion of one subject try to solve the last ten years question paper of that subject to get an idea about the question pattern and type of questions asked. This will also help you to get familiar with boards.

If I go subject wise following are my suggestions:

English- English is the subject in which you need to focus the most. It is said to be the main subject of ICSE and the checking of this subject is also not very lenient. The key to get good marks in English language is to abide by the rules. You need to follow each and every rule of essay, letter, notice writing, email writing, comprehension as well as grammar. Breaking any rule leads to deduction of marks. Example if you exceed the word limit in essay then you will lose marks. For English literature I would say you need to be thorough with the chapters. Revise the the chapters as many times as possible and learn each and every thing so that there is no chance of losing any marks. If you get 100 in English literature it will increase your average marks of English as well as your percentage.

Hindi- What I have seen in hindi is, that the council gives you enough marks in this subject. You just need to be following the rules in language part and writing to the point answers in literature portion. Missing points in literature portion leads to deduction of marks. Avoid spelling and grammatical errors to score high. Do not avoid grammar practice in hindi because most of lose marks in grammar portion because of lack of practice.

Maths - Practice more and you will get more marks. You should understand each and every chapter, solve maximum number of questions from chapters you feel difficult so that you can have a hold on that chapter. Try to solve as many sample papers as possible within the time limit. Time management is also very important in mathematics examination.

Science- Read each and every chapter thoroughly. Each and every concept should be clear to you. Questions based on fundamentals are mostly asked so most of the times mugging up doesn't work therefore understanding each and every topic is very important.

Social studies- For History and Civics, you need to learn each and every point then only you can get 100. Try to give your answer in points. Study history in sequence with the chapters so that you do not miss any events. For geography, topography should be clear to you. Each and every location in syllabus should be learnt properly at currect location. Read only those chapters which you are going to attempt in examination. Keep one extra question in case of emergency.

Extra subject- Like each and every subject you have to prepare this subject too. It is mostly a scoring subject and increases your percentage therefore it needs to be focused equally. I had taken computer as my extra subject and got 100 in it and this helped in increasing my percentage. For computer understanding concepts is the key to get 100% marks. Once you are clear with the concepts you can easily solve the programming section and the theory section is not that difficult.
