Answer: Countable nouns are things you can count like chairs tables etc. Non-countable nouns are nouns that can't be counted like hair, water etc. Note that some non-count nouns can be made countable. For example; a piece of advice. We can't count advice but this gives it a countable state. A packet of milk. We can't count milk but we can count a packet of milk 2 packets of milk etc.
Collective nouns are used during grouping things. For example, we say a pack of cards, a gang of robbers, a panel of judges etc
Abstract nouns represent things that we can not touch but only hear or feel. For example, pain. We can not touch pain but we can feel pain. Another example is noise. We can not touch noise, we can only hear it.
