You can identify whether an expression is a polynomial or not just by knowing its definition...

Polynomial is an expression in which Power of each Variable must be in Whole number...

for example RootX is not a polynomial as the power of X is 1/2 which is not a whole number.

Another example -> 1/x ...This expression can also be rewritten as x raised to power -1.
Here the -1 is the power of x which is not variable.

So keep checking the power of each Variable in an expression, If all the variables have powers in whole number then expression must be a polynomial else it will not...

Answer to your Question..
Only (i) and (iii) are polynomials...Rest of expressions are not polynomails....verify yourself by checking powers of variables in each expression...
