There are three forms of autotrophs:

ii)  Bacteria - Certain bacteria, known as cyanobacteria or blue-green bacteria contain chlorophyll and are able to “synthesize their own food”.

iii)   Algae - Certain algae synthesize their own food and are a source of oxygen for the environment.
