the compound of calcium which is used for plastering a fractured bone is plaster of paris(CaSO4.1/2H2O ).
preparation......
plaster of paris is obtained by heating gypsum(CaSO4.2H2O) at 373 K.
CaSO4. 2H2O ---heat at 373k----->CaSO4. 1/2H2O+1 1/2H2O.
