Dicot embryo

Development of dicot embryo in Capsella bursa-pastoris (Crucifer type): ... The terminal cell by subsequent divisions gives rise to the embryo while the basal cell contributes the formation of suspensor. The terminal cell divides by a vertical division forming a 4-celled 1-shaped embryo.

Zygote heart shaped embryo

One sperm nucleus fertilizes the egg, generating a 2N diploid zygote. Another sperm nucleus fertilizes a polar cell with two 1N nuclei, generating a 3N triploid endosperm, which provides nutrients to the developing embryo. The formation of two cotyledons in dicots gives the embryo a heart-shaped appearance.

Proembryo

Proembryo, or pro-embryo, in a flowering plant denotes the series of cells that are formed after fertilization within the ovule of a plant, before formation of the embryo. In human embryonic development the term is usually changed to pre-embryo to describe the conceptus before implantation in the uterus.

Matured embryo

The cell enlarges and undergoes three free nuclear mitotic divisions. The first division produces two nucleated embryo sac. These two nuclei divide twice forming four nucleate and then eight nucleate structure. One nucleus from each side moves to the middle of the embryo sac.
