in this case the I can see nearby objects clearly but the distant objects appear indistant.

there are two reasons for this defect :

  1. the curvature of the cornea and islands increases the muscles near the lens cannot relax so that converging power of the lens remains large.
  2. eye ball along its so that the distance between the lens and retina increases.
