The life cycle of silkworm starts with silk moth. The first female moth lays eggs which upon hatching gives out silkworm. The silkworm then feeds on mulberry leaves and grows bigger. After it attains certain size it starts to cocoon itself with silk threads. Inside the cocoon silkworm (caterpillar) changes into the pupa and then to moth and fully developed moth comes out of the cocoon.
