Step-by-step explanation:

1 the car can travel 210 km in 3 hours, it means that it can travel 70 km in 1 hour. Therefore, for 5 hours, it can travel a distance of 350 km.

2. 1 man will take more time to complete their work than the 5 people. 5 people takes 5 hours, then 1 man will take (5×5) hrs = 25 hours to complete the same work. Now 2 people will take much less time than the time taken by 1 man, then 2 people will take 25/2 hrs = 12.5 hours to complete the work.

Given : 1.A car is able to travel 210 km in 3 hours. How far can it travel in 5 hours?

2. Five people can finish painting a wall in 5 hours. If only2 people are available, how many hours do they have to work to finish the same job

To Find :  type of proportion

Solution:

travel 210 km in 3 hours.

More hours more distance

Direct proportion.

Traven in 5 hrs = x

=> 210 : 3  =  x : 5

=> 210/3 = x/5

=> x = 350

 Five people can finish painting a wall in 5 hours

=> Total Hours required to work are constant  5  x 5 = 25

Inverse proportion as  More man can do work in less hour and and less men will take more hours

Let sat 2 people can work in x hrs

5 * 5  =  2 * x

=> x = 12.5
