In solids the molecules are packed tightly and they also have high force of attraction this is the reason solids have definite shape and volume…

In liquids the force of attraction between them is not as strong as in solids this is the reason why liquids can flow…though they have a definite volume but no definite shape…

In gases the force of attraction is negligible and hence the molecules r far apart from each other…gases do not have a definite volume or definite shape
