Let x = 0.1252525...---( 1 )

Multiply equation ( 1 ) with 10 , we get

10x = 1.252525...------( 2 )

Multiply equation ( 2 ) with 100 , we

get ,

1000x = 125.252525..---( 3 )

Subtract equation ( 2 ) from ( 3 ) , we

get

990x = 124

x = 124/990

x = 62/495 = p/q

p + q = 62 + 495

= 557
