QUESTION :-
If 0.5 T field over an area of 2 m² which lies at an angle of 60° with field . Then the resultant flux will be ?
SOLUTION :-
GIVEN -
Magnetic field = 0.5 tesla = 0.5 T
Area of cross section = 2 m²
Angle = 60°
here, in this question we have to find magnetic flux
Magnetic Flux ( Ф ) = B · A Cosθ
where,
B = Magnetic Field
A = Area of Cross section
θ = Angle
putting the given values in the above formula.....
Magnetic Flux ( Φ ) = 0. 5 tesla × 2 m² Cos( 60° )
→ Ф = 1 × 1/2 wb
→ Ф = 0.5 weber
Therefore,
The resultant magnetic flux is 0.50 wb
and hence, option ( c) 0.50 Wb is correct
Magnetic Flux
The magnetic flux (often denoted Φ or ΦB) through a surface is the surface integral of the normal component of the magnetic field flux density B passing through that surface.
The SI unit of magnetic flux is the weber (Wb; in derived units, volt–seconds).
The CGS unit is the maxwell.
Magnetic flux is usually measured with a fluxmeter, which contains measuring coils and electronics, that evaluates the change of voltage in the measuring coils to calculate the measurement of magnetic flux.
