P/Q is 7/9 then P+Q is 7+9 is equals 16

Adityatiwari: how this came
Adityatiwari: explain me briefly
yoohp: take x as 0.7bar and 10x as 7.7 bar [10*0.7bar]. Then do 10x-x. This will be 7.7 bar-0.7bar=7. therefore we get 9x =7 [10x-x].send 9 to rhs.we get x=7/9.therefore 0.7 bar equals 7/9. we wrote it in the form of p/q that is 7=p, 9=q [7/9= p/q].then p+q =7+9=16. 16 is the required ans.hope this helps u
yoohp: the bracket s doesnt mean multiplication
yoohp: hope my ans helps u

The value is p+q=16.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : If 0.7 bar=p/q.

To find : The value of p+q ?

Solution :

Solving in form of p/q,

Let x=0.777.....  .....(1)

Multiply both side by 10,

10x=7.777.....  .....(2)

Subtract (1) and (2),

10x-x=(7.777.....)-(0.777....)

9x=7

x=\frac{7}{9}

On comparing, p=7 and q=9

p+q=7+9

p+q=16

Therefore, the value is 16.
