Answer:

( \frac{1}{2} )^{2}  + k( \frac{1}{2} ) -  \frac{5}{4}  = 0 \\

 \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{k}{2}  -  \frac{5}{4}  = 0

 \frac{k}{2}  -  \frac{4}{4}  = 0

 \frac{k}{2}  = 1

k = 2

The value of K =2

Given, 1/2 is a solution of the equation

The given equation is x² + kx -5/4 = 0

than the solution -:

(1/2)² + k/2 - 5/4 = 0

1/4 + k/2 - 5/4 = 0

1 + 2k - 5 = 0

2k = 4

k = 2

Hope you are satisfied
