Answer:

 \frac{14}{8}

Step-by-step explanation:

LET TAKE THE NO. BE X SO:-

4(x -  \frac{1}{2} ) = 5

AFTER SOLVING BRACKETS IT BECOMES

4x -  \frac{4}{2}  = 5

NOW LCM OF 1 AND 2 IS 2

THEN EQUATION BECOMES

 \frac{4x \times 2}{1 \times 2}  -  \frac{4 \times 1}{2 \times 1}  = 5

 =  >  \frac{8x - 4}{2}  = 5

SHIFTING 2 TO R.H.S

WE GET:-

8x - 4 = 5 \times 2 \\ 8x - 4 = 10

SHIFTING (-4) TO R.H.S WE GET

8x = 10 + 4 \\ 8x = 14

SHIFTING 8 TO R.H.S WE GET:-

x =  \frac{14}{8}

THE NO.=X=14/8

MEANS THE NO IS

 \frac{14}{8}
