if 1/2 is the zero of the polynomial p(x)=2x4-ax3+4x2+2x+1,find the value of a​

p(x) =  {2x}^{4}  -  {ax}^{3}  +  {4x}^{2}  + 2x + 1

P(1/2)=2(1/2)^4 - a(1/2)^3 + 4(1/2)^2 + 2(1/2) + 1

=1/8-a/8+1+1+1

=

 \frac{1 - a + 8 + 8 + 8}{8}

1-a+24=8

1-a=8-24

-a=-16-1

a=16
