If -1 and 2 are two zeroes of the polynomial 2x

2 − 5κ − 2,find its third

Therefore (x+1) and (x-2) are two factors

Multiply these two factors

(x+1)(x-2) = x^2 -x -2

Now divide the polynomial by x^2 - x - 2

2x^3 -x^2 - 5x -2 ÷ (x^2 - x -2) = 2x + 1

So the 3rd zero is 2x+1 =0 , x = -1/2
