Answer:

if -1 is a zero of the polynomial 2xcube-xsquare -5x -2

then (x+1) can divide 2xcube-xsquare -5x-2=0

therefore

2xcube-xsquare-5x-2. ÷ (x+1)

therefore its answer will be

2xsquare -3x-2=0

now

solving this equation by factorization

we get

2xsquare+4x-x-2

2x(x+2) -1(x+2)

therefore

(2x-1)(x+2)

therefore

x=1/2. or. x=-2

'hope this answer will help you!!!!!

Step-by-step explanation:

F(x) = 2x³ - x² - 5x - 2

-1 is a zero polynomial

x= -1

x + 1 .......eqn

Divide 2x³ - x² - 5x - 2 by x + 1

 \sqrt[x + 1]{2 {x}^{3} -  {x}^{3} - 5 {x}^{2} - 2  }  \\
