Given :-

1 is zero of f(x) = ax³ - x² + x + 4

To Find :-

Value of a

Solution :-

By putting x = 1

f(1) = a(1)³ - (1)² + 1 + 4

0 = a(1) - 1 + 1 + 4

0 = 1a - 1 + 1 + 4

0 - a = -1 + 5

-a = 4

a = -4
