Answer:

(-infinity,-5/2)

Step-by-step explanation:

1 < (x-1)/(x+2)

take one to right side and simlify, you will get -3/(x+2) > 0 which will simplify to (x+2)<0

so, x is lesser than -2

now take (x-1)/(x+2)<7

take 7 to right side and simlify, you will get (x + 5/2)/(x + 2) > 0

(x + 15/6)/(x + 2) will only be positive when x belongs to (-infinity,-5/2)U(-2,+infinity)

now as we know x is lesser than -2 so the answer is (-infinity,-5/2)
