if 10 boats row down a distance of 50km in 5 hours. how many km will be covered by 4 boats in one hour ?

Let speed of boat in still water is SB and speed of stream is SC and Speed of boat in upstream and downstream is SU and SD.

Speed of boat in still water SB = 1/2 × (SD + SU)

⇒ 1/2(50/5 + 50/10)

⇒ 0.5 × (10 + 5)

∴ 7.5 km/hr
