Hi ,

**************************************

We know that ,

nPr = n!/( n - r )!

***********"****************************
It is given that ,

10Pr = 5040

= 10 × 9 × 8 × 7

10Pr = ( 10×9×8×7×6! )/6!

10!/( 10 - r )! = 10!/( 10 - 4 )!

Compare both sides of the equation.

r = 4

I hope this helps you.
