$= > x - 12 = \frac{1 \times x}{3}$

$= > x - \frac{x}{3} = 12$

$= > \frac{3x - x}{3} = 12$

$= > \frac{2x}{ 3} = 12$

$= > x = \frac{12 \times 3}{2}$

$= > x = 6 \times 3$

$= > x = 18$
