Given ,
 No. of shirts = 16
total cloth needed to stitch one shirt = 24m
Let , cloth required for one shirt be (x)
As
one shirt = total no.of shirts /total cloth
(x) = 16/24
(x) = 2/3

16 shirts of equal size can be made from 24 m of cloth

⇒ 16 shirts = 24 m of cloth

Find the amount of cloth needed to make 1 shirt:

16 shirts = 24 m of cloth

1 shirt = 24 ÷ 16

1 shirt = 3/2

1 shirt = 1.5 m of cloth

Answer: 1.5 m of cloth is needed to make 1 shirt.
