Given :-
17 men can complete a work in 42 hours....
........then number of men will be required for doing the same in 32 hrs.
We know that if there will be more men the job will be done in less time.
So this is a case of inverse proportion.
In Inverse proportion....
x1 × y1 = x2 × y2
17 × 42 = x × 32.
x = 714/32
x = 22.31
But it is not a whole number... so by rounding off ......we get x = 22.
Hence the number of men required will be 22.
