20,19 1/4 ,18 1/2 ,17……….

So it's first term a= 20

It's Common difference is - 3/4

19 1/4- 20 = -3/418 1/2- 19 1/4 = -3/4

So here's come the part in which you have to think… that nth term number.

28th term is the first negative number in the progression.

Cauz here's the reason….

A 27 = A + (n-1)dA27 = 20 +( 27–1)× (- 3/4)A27 = 20 + 26× ( -3/4)A27 = 1/2

And here's 28th term

A28 = A + (n-1)dA28 = 20 +( 28–1)× (- 3/4)A28 = 20 + 27× ( -3/4)A28= ( -1/4)
