Solution:
LHS = 2/(√3+√5) +2/(√3-√5)
= 2[1/(√3+√5) + 1/(√3-√5)]
= 2[ (√3-√5+√3+√5)/(√3+√5)(√3-√5)]
=2(2√3)/[(√3)²-(√5)²)
= 4√3/(3-5)
= (4√3)/(-2)
= -2√3
Now ,
LHS = RHS
=> (-2)√3+0 = a√3+b√5
Compare both sides,we get
a = -2 , b = 0
