Solution:

LHS = 2/(√3+√5) +2/(√3-√5)

= 2[1/(√3+√5) + 1/(√3-√5)]

= 2[ (3-5+3+5)/(3+5)(3-5)]

=2(23)/[(3)²-(5)²)

= 43/(3-5)

= (43)/(-2)

= -23

Now ,

LHS = RHS

=> (-2)3+0 = a√3+b√5

Compare both sides,we get

a = -2 , b = 0
