Question :

→If (2,-3) is one of the solution of the equation 5x-ay=2 then find the value of a.

Answer :

As , given that (2,-3) is solution of 5x - ay = 2. Taking this Put,

  • x = 2
  • y = -3 in the equation .

Putting values in equation :-

= 5x - ay = 2

= 5(2) - a(-3) = 2

= 10 - (-3a) = 2

= 10 + 3a = 2

= +3a = 2 - 10

= 3a = - 8

= a = \dfrac{-8}{3}

•°• The value of a is -8/3 respectively.
