if ({2^3x^-1} + 10 ) / 7 = 6, x is equal to ?

Now by cross multiplying the above equation we get  (2x3x−1+10)=6×7

⇒(2x3x−1+10)=42

Now shift 10 to R.H.S it becomes −10

⇒(2x3x−1)=42−10=32

But we know that 25=32

Substituting this to above equation we get

⇒(2x3x−1)=25

Since the base term in equation is same, according to laws of exponents we can equate them as

⇒3x−1=5

Now shift −1 to R.H.S we get

3x=5+1=6

3x=6

Now shift 3 to R.H.S 

x=36=2
