in a right angle triangle , the hypotenuse is the longest side .
considering 5 as the hypotenuse and 2 & 4 as the other sides , we get
(2)² + (4)² = (5)²
but
4 + 16 ≠ 25
So , ( 2 , 4 & 5 ) is not a Pythagorean triplet .
