Let the number be (x).

Then,

(2.5/100)*x=15

so, x=15*1000/25

so, x= 15*40

so, x= 600

Ans: 600

Given: 2.5% of a number is15.

We have to find the quantity.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

2.5% of a number is15.

Let assume the number bex.

Then from the above statement, we can write:

2.5\%\ of\ x=15

Solving the above equation further we get,

=>\frac{2.5}{100} \times x=15\\\\=>\frac{2.5x}{100} =15\\\\=>2.5x=15\times100\\\\=>x=\frac{1500}{2.5} \\\\=>x=600

Hence, the number is600.
