If 2 bulbs rated 100w 200v and 25w 200v are connected in parallel to a 200v supply what will be current drawn from the power line.

Power=(v*i) =(voltage*current)

P1=(v*I)

100=(200*i1)

i1= 0.5amp

P2 =(v*i2)

25 =(200*i2)

i2= (25/200)

=(1/4)

= 0.25 amp

In parallel total current drwn from power line= sum of current in parallel bulb

Total current =i1+ i2

=0.5+0.25 =.0.75amp
