Answer:

The value of a is 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :- 4x² + 2x-5a = 0

            Zero is 2

To find :- value of a

Solution :-

As 2 is the zero of given polynomial,

       Putting the value x=2 in

      p(x) =4x² + 2x - 5a

    ∴ p(2) = 4(2)² + 2(2) -5a

   ∴    0 = 4(4) + 4 -5a

    ∴    16 + 4 - 5a = 0

   ∴        20  = 5a

     ∴       a = 20/5

    ∴        a= 4
