Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one number be x and other number be y

So,

     (x +  2)/(y + 2) = 1/2

      2x + 4 = y + 2

      y = 2x + 2   - (i)

And,

      (x - 4)/(y) = 5/11

       11x -44 = 5y

       11x -44 = 10x + 10  (y = 2x + 2)

x = 54

y = 110

Answer:

let first number be x and another be y..

ATQ

 \frac{x + 2}{y + 2}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \\ 2x + 4 = y + 2 \\ 2x - y =  - 2......(i)

and

 \frac{x - 4}{y - 4}  =  \frac{5}{11} \\ 11x - 44 = 5y - 20 \\ 11x - 5y  = 24.........(ii)

multiply 5 in eqn (i).....

and subtract it from (ii) eqn..

11x-5y=24

10x-5y=-10

- + +

x = 34 y = 70

hope this will help you..
