Sorry I got that wrong in first attempt,
I hope there will be denominator in instead of numerator. :)
Still don't worry ,

ANSWER
Find the fraction
As given
If 2 is subtracted from the numerator and 1 is added to the denominator a
let us assume that
the numerator be =x
the denominator be =y
than the equation becomes
simplify the above
2x - y =5
As given
when 4 is added to the numerator and 3 is subtracted from the numerator
than the equation
simplify the above
2x -3y = -17
than the equation are
2x -3y = -17 and 2x - y =5
subtracted the equation
2x- 2x -3y +y = -17 -5
2y =22
y =11
put in 2x - y =5
2x -11 = 5
2y = 16
y =8
Hence proved
