if 2 raise to the power 4 is multiply by 4 raise to the power 2 is equal to 16 raise to the power X. find x

⏩a^m × a^m = a^(m + m)⏪

The answer is 2.

 {2}^{4} \times {4}^{2} = {16}^{x } \\ \\ = > {4}^{2} \times {4}^{2} = {4}^{2x} \\ (here \: all \: bases \: are \: equal \: so \: we \: can \: directly \: solve \: powers) \\ = > 2 + 2 = 2x \\ = > 4 = 2x \\ = > 4 \div 2 = x \\ = > 2 = x \\ \\ therefore \: we \: have \: x = 2.
