2 ( x + 1 ) / 3 - 2 ( x - 1 ) / 4 = 1

By Cross Multiplication ;

3 × 2 ( x - 1 ) - 4 × 2 ( x + 1 ) = 1

6x - 6 - 8x - 8 = 1

- 2x - 14 = 1

- 2x = 1 + 14

x = - 15 / 2

x = - 7.5
