The values of x and y are \frac{3}{2} and 1.

Given:

\frac{2}{x}+\frac{3}{y}= 6....................(i)

\frac{1}{x}+\frac{1}{2y} =2....................(ii)

To Find:

We have to find the values of x and y.

Solution:

Let us tackle the problem.

We can easily solve this problem as follows,

1st we multiply equation (ii) with 2.

Then we get,

\frac{2}{x} +\frac{1}{y} =4.......................(iii)

Now we subtract equation (iii) from equation(i).

Then we get,

\frac{2}{y} = 2

y=1

Therefore the value of \frac{1}{x} is (2-\frac{1}{2}) = \frac{3}{2}.

Hence, the values of x and y are \frac{3}{2}  and 1.
