2(x²+1)=5x

2x²+2=5x

2x²-5x+2=0

2x²-4x-x+2=0

2x(x-2)-1(x-2)=0

(x-2) (2x-1)=0

x=2 or x=1/2

Now,

x-1/x= 2-1/2 = 1/2 and

x-1/x= 1/2-1 /1/2 =-1

Ans:1/2 and -1
