Correct question:-
If 20gm Sugar is dissolved in 180gm water,then what is the mass by mass percentage of the solution.
Given:-
→Mass of sugar(solute)=20gm
→Mass of water(solvent)=180gm
To find:-
→Mass by mass percentage/
Concentration of solution
Solution:-
In order to solve this problem,we shall firstly total mass of the solution.
=>Mass of solution=Mass of solute+Mass of solvent
=>(180+20)gm
=>200gm
Hence,mass of the solution is 200gm
Now,mass by mass percentage/Concentration:-
=>Mass of Solute/Mass of solution×100
=>20/200×100
=>20/2
=>10%
Thus,mass by mass percentage of the solution is 10%.
