 \huge \colorbox {aqua}{solution}

let the number of men needed to assemble 12 machines be x

more men will be needed to assemble more machines. so it is a case of direct variation

number of machines = 8 12

number of mans = 20 x

note : this should put in box

8/20=12/x = x= 20×12/8=30

the number of men required are 30.
