Pressure is defined as force applied per unit area or ,

P=F/A

THEREFORE , P= 20N/5m^2

P=4 N m^-2 and Nm^-2 is also known as pascal which is standard unit for pressure . Therefore pressure is 4Pa(pascal)

alysejmiller: Pressure (symbol: p or P) is the force applied perpendicular to the surface of an object per unit area over which that force is distributed. Gauge pressure (also spelled gage pressure) is the pressure relative to the ambient pressure. Various units are used to express pressure.
alysejmiller: Can you HELP me with some of my other questions please???
tripathishashank872: Dude you have defined pressure only in terms for the fluids . The whole pressure term is different. Should I upload a pic which exams it ??

Pressure (P) = Force(F) / Area (A)
P = F/A
P = 20/5 => 4 Pa
Pressure exerted => 4 pascal.
